Hi everyone...I just learned about this website, hope someone can help! This past week (Sunday) I was due for my bi-weekly certification, and of course this was the weekend that the EDD site was having a bunch of problems - which they didn't officially post on their site until around Tuesday or Wednesday. I was finally able to get my certification through, but I only got paid for ONE week...the second week is showing "Pending". I was finally able to get through to someone tonight, she told me that this is because my claim is coming up on a year and I will need to submit a NEW claim....and then they will determine if I start a new one OR if they continue my existing one. I see absolutely NO indication of this. everything on my end looks normal. she was a little snarky, but nice. I told her I wasn't doubting her, but I was hesitant to do anything that would potentially screw up my claim. she then said she could transfer me to an "examiner", which she did, and I was on hold for over an hour, and then at 8:05 PM the message came on saying they were closed and I got hung up on. so I was on the phone for close to 2 hours. ugh! so my inclination is to wait until April 4 (my next certification), and see what happens.
