Benefit year expired; did not apply for a new claim (long story), but I started getting payments? Will I need to repay these?

This happened to me too! I ended up certifying bc I was about to hit the deadline date to certify, but I'm really confused and am worried I'm going to have to pay it back because they made a mistake? I had been in the process of reapplying for benefits bc I thought I was in one of the categories that needed to reapply, but hadn't submitted yet when a new payment appeared and it says I'm "on extension." It says my transaction type was "original certification." Today I got a message from UE saying it was urgent that I reapplied bc my benefits have expired. Not sure if I should reapply or not at this point. I'm so confused.
