I've been working a few freelance jobs and would like to know the proper way to report the income on my weekly certifications. When I say "yes" to the question if I've earned income whether I've received it or not, it takes me to to a page where it asks you to enter your employer's ID number. I input how much money I earned, and then it asks "what is your employment status?" - I'm still unemployed so I just select the option that best describes me, correct? Secondly, it asks you "what is the last day you worked for this employer?" I freelance for them week by week. I put the date on the last certification I did, but then I received a notice in the mail that they opened an unemployment claim for me for that employer!!! They are not my employer? I am so confused. Help!!

Hi, please forgive me if this information can be found on the site. I searched but I may not be using the right keywords. I am on CA's UI and I'm trying to figure out if I report income (small gig paying $300 a week) if this will disqualify me from the $300 federal supplement we are supposed to be getting soon. Right now my weekly CA benefit is $450. I do understand the $300 will reduce my CA weekly benefit which is fine, just want to make sure I don't disqualify myself for the federal, Thanks!
