Hi, please forgive me if this information can be found on the site. I searched but I may not be using the right keywords. I am on CA's UI and I'm trying to figure out if I report income (small gig paying $300 a week) if this will disqualify me from the $300 federal supplement we are supposed to be getting soon. Right now my weekly CA benefit is $450. I do understand the $300 will reduce my CA weekly benefit which is fine, just want to make sure I don't disqualify myself for the federal, Thanks!

If you work less hours than your standard UI payment do you still get 300 boost? for example if you get $150 a month and you work $140 do you get $10 plus the $300? How about if you get 150and work 200 do you still get 300?
That seems odd. With 157 as your WBA, the maximum you can make is $210 so as long as your under that it shouldn't be excessive. Go to claim history, click certification with the correlated dates... send me a screen shot?
Emergency! Emergency! I have been reporting weekly earnings for 10 months now, and... just these past 2 weeks? REJECTED for 'excessive earnings'! I'm not sure if 'rules changed' for EDD's calculation of earnings, but I have RELENTLESSLY reported my earnings which continue to come in at UNDER $200/week... My weekly maximum amount is a measly $157. So... I posted for Jan. 10-16: $173. Then, for Jan. 17-23: $169. After a 25% reduction, these amounts should be: $130 & $127. Well below my weekly maximum of $157. I hadn't seen a payment to my BofA card yet, so I took a gander at my EDD page. It says, "you received NO benefits, because you reported EXCESSIVE EARNINGS." WTAF??? Did something CHANGE in the calculation for weekly earnings?? 😳
450 - (300 x .75) is the math and also explained thoroughly here: https://www.unemploymentgurus.com/post/workingagain The only time you will not be eligible to receive the additional FPUC $300 from the new stimulus is if you make excessive earnings. If you make $600 or more that will be considered excessive with a WBA of $450. So if you make less than that, you will get at least $1 and will qualify for the FPUC $300
This is an older article from the $600 FPUC in the summer: https://www.unemploymentgurus.com/post/cares-600
But the rules from the summer works the exact same way as this new FPUC.... in the bill it basically says "cross out $600 and put $300"
