I have an existing claim as a Wage Earner on Extension. My benefit year ends on April 5th 2021. I am waiting for EDD to automatically file an extension and it has been two to three weeks with this on my screen and only one message in my inbox stating I do not have to do anything they will file for the extension if I qualify. I have not gotten anything in the mail and I do not want to have to file another claim. What do I do next? I have tried to call with no avail. I am at home with my three young children and cannot work.
I have been waiting since 2/28/21 that was last payment after that I had the same screen as screenshot above $0 Benefit Amount and notice of benefit year end I reapplied waited 7 weeks called they said well we will apply for you over the phone since you are a W-2 worker you should be able to certify in 24 hours and 7 more weeks no change finally after getting through on phone after days was hung up on so I contacted my local assembly man I filled out a ready made application on their website for this specific unemployment problem about 2 weeks ago. Fast forward to Today they managed to change the screen completely only text and white background I did notice before the change it said claim 1/05/20 - 1/05/21 However now the new home page says 1/05/21 - Extension I take it this means I dont have to file. Please let me know if I file call, but I have done both multiple times I dont want to do it if it is going to cause a delay I would like to get my benefits before I run out of things to sell on ebay. Next is my apartment oh wait I dont own it so it is out in the street

On 5/1/2021 and 5/8/2021 i filed thru Telecert for these 2 weeks. I found out on my account that stated that my status for both weeks were a Disqualification. I have called numerous times 10 to 12 times a day and can never get anyone on the phone, Does anyone have a good suggestion on this? Please help me. Thank you!
Again, so is there any way to reach the EDD ? It must be really dangerous for so many people to lack the benefits they are depending on. How does this not wind up in court ? What are we supposed to do really ?

It was broadly suggested that State
Extensions were to be awarded, Federal Exts ??? No need to file. I am 2 months un-extended. Anyway I cannot reach these people for my life. Since “Maximum Benefits awarded“, I cannot certify. Filing a new claim would have to be impossible because you can’t get there from the website. There is no No New Claim option.

I appreciate the overwhelming volume issue, but EDD looks criminally foolish and unable to not offend everyone. How can they get away with this ? Ordinarily, federal funding goes with federal expectation of being available and in gear to do the job, or is that just my preference to believe in Santa Claus acting up again ?

You'd be considered for FED-ED if your claim did not expire... so likely you will not go on FED-ED and continue on PEUC rather. There was a notice on EDD website that said they will get everyone on PEUC by April 17
I would wait until April 18... maybe longer if you are able to (since you know how slow they are even when they set a date). If you don't see anything movement at all it's likely you need to file a new claim.
